Diffusion of information technologies deeply modified the industrial research field, by proposing new development models and economic potentialities. In this way Region Lombardia, featured by high presence of enterprises dedicated to key biotechnology sector, favoured the birth of a Excellence Centre in the premises of the University of Milano Bicocca and of a Bioincubator in the Municipality of Bresso.
At the same time, a professionals demand emerges with new scientific and technical skills that graduated and researchers don’t have. In fact, Universities have been activating Master and specialist degrees in branches of learning linked to computer science oriented to industrial and biopharmaceutical (bioinformatics) problems.
